Premium Pillsner – 5.2% Alc.
Mortselse Pils – 2640
Pilsner is, without a doubt, the most widely consumed beer in the world. For years, we avoided brewing a pils… We prefer creating beers that bring variety and new experiences, not just beers you can find anywhere.
But why not brew a real pils?
Yes, what we call pils in Belgium is often not a true pils. Industrial pils is mass-produced using shortcuts to cut costs—up to 40% of the barley can be replaced with corn, rice, or sugars, and the color often has to be corrected with caramel or additives.
A true pils, like traditional German or Czech pilsners, is brewed with 100% barley malt and plenty of aroma hops, with no compromises.
Appearance: bright golden, clear, with a frothy white head
Aroma: fresh malt, subtle floral and herbal hop notes
Flavor: crisp, clean, and slightly malty, with a balanced bitterness and a refreshing finish
Hops: noble aroma hops for authentic flavor
ABV: 5%
Mouthfeel: light-bodied, highly drinkable, effervescent
Food pairing tip: seafood, grilled chicken, soft cheeses, or a classic Belgian frites; perfect with light, fresh flavors
Special notes: 100% barley malt, unfiltered, unpasteurized – a true pilsner experience
